Anthony Edwards Shares Bold In-Game Advice With Teammate

The Timberwolves edged past a packed Houston Rockets side 110-108 on March 25, and it was Anthony Edwards’ in-game advice to his teammate that caught everyone’s attention.
Overcoming a 13-point deficit in overtime was really a stretch for the Timberwolves. This was the biggest comeback since detailed play-by-play throughout the game began in 1997.
During the game, there was a moment when Anthony Edwards, who is currently sidelined due to inflammation in his right knee, advised McDaniels, saying, “Don’t pass the ball, you ain’t gotta pass.” It was quite a hilarious moment as ‘Ant-Man’ was genuinely concerned about his team losing the game.
Well, the advice certainly worked, as Jaden McDaniels became one of the primary factors behind Timberwolves’ 2 point victory over the Rockets, finishing with 25 points with 10-17 shooting.
It was a perfect revenge for McDaniels and Edwards side, given they lost the previous match against the Rockets on January 16.
However, it must be noted that McDaniels had to leave the game mid-way due to an apparent leg injury. “I really just kind of cramped a little bit, but I’ll be all right next game,” he said.
With that said, the team is expecting Edwards' return soon.
Anthony Edwards Might Return Be Sooner Than Expected
'Ant-Man' was ruled out with a knee issue, and the team expects him to miss one to two weeks. However, NBA insider Jon Krawczynski believes that the knee issue is not that serious, and the star might have a return early following a fast recovery.
“Edwards is nearing a return,” he wrote. “He has been doing individual work at the team’s practice facility this week. The Wolves play next on Saturday against the Detroit Pistons, but Monday’s road game against the Dallas Mavericks could be a more realistic goal.”
So while the Timberwolves are already defeating strong sides like the Rockets, do you think they will do even better once Edwards returns to the lineup?
