Sports memorabilia has long been considered valuable, but few have ever come with packages of decades' worth of season tickets. Cooper Flagg, the Dallas Mavericks' forward who won the NBA Rookie of the Year, is now the focus of this very proposition.
"The Dallas Mavericks are offering a "bounty" to whoever unpacks Cooper Flagg's debut patch autograph card via a package similar to that of a blockbuster NBA trade. That package includes two Mavericks season premium lower-level tickets for 32 years," ESPN tweeted.
The Dallas Mavericks made their offer to trade on Thursday for the one-of-one Cooper Flagg Rookie Debut Patch Autograph card by proposing two high-quality low-level season tickets for 32 years, a game-worn rookie jersey signed by Cooper, and a Boston road trip as part of the seven pieces offered.

His jersey number is 32, which explains the length of the ticket. The trading card was released on the same day as part of the 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update Basketball set as a redemption card.
Cooper Flagg, a Mavericks forward and winner of the NBA Rookie of the Year, autographed the trading card on July 17 during Fanatics Fest NYC.
"I was a little nervous," Flagg said. "I've signed a lot of cards, but that one was a little nerve-wracking."
This nervousness is due to the importance of this card. Last year, Flagg managed to average 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists and became the youngest basketballer who managed to score 50 points in one game, which increased collectors' interest in this card.
This was not the first time a team attempted this marketing trick as well. The Pittsburgh Pirates tried to promote pitcher Paul Skenes' debut patch card in January 2025.
The Skenes family rejected the offer from Pittsburgh, and the card went under the hammer for $1.11 million two months later. Wilson currently thinks that the card of Flagg could sell for up to $5 million because of the hype building up around debut patch autographs in sports.
This comparison between Skenes and Flagg is also no coincidence, as it explains why collectors consider Flagg's card to be a lottery ticket.
Cooper Flagg Card Enters a Growing Hobby Trend
Topps has recently released its Debut Patch cards in 2023 for Major League Baseball, and then went on to release them for basketball. Topps has distributed patches for ninety-nine rookies from the 2025-26 season, and 93 of them were autographed by the rookies.
"It will gain value as I go through my career," Flagg said, encouraging whoever finds the card to hold on to it rather than sell immediately.
His advice carries weight given his rookie resume. Flagg posted a 51-point game against the Orlando Magic, earned 56 of 100 first-place Rookie of the Year votes, and signed a four-year, $62.7 million contract.
Bounties from influencers and now franchises suggest debut patches aren't slowing down anytime soon.
Comment on what you think Cooper Flagg's card will eventually sell for.
