His 94% shooting caught Draymond Green’s attention, who knows Lillard’s offensive ability well. On The Draymond Green Show, Green explained why the numbers stood out, especially after spending years alongside elite shooters like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

"Dame Lillard posted his shooting practice from over the weekend, and he made 1,100 out of 1,168 threes, which is 94% from three,” Green said. 

Green found the number even more impressive after years around Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, two elite NBA shooters.

On the same show, via YouTube, he then compared Lillard’s session with what he has seen from them, joking that he would not watch Curry take 1,100 shots for comparison.

"And playing with someone like Steph Curry and Klay Thompson for the bulk of my career, I can't say that I've ever seen anyone hit 1,100 out of 1,168,” Green said. 

Green’s comments underline how unusual Lillard’s shooting numbers were, especially given his years of watching Curry and Thompson work on their games.

The display also gives fans a reason to feel optimistic about Lillard’s comeback. If he can carry this shooting form into games, he could once again become a major offensive threat.

Now, Lillard needs to turn his impressive practice shooting into strong performances in real games. Making 1,100 of 1,168 three-pointers does not guarantee that he will shoot at the same level in NBA games. However, it gives fans a good look at his current shooting form.

Because of this, Lillard's return could become one of Portland's biggest storylines next season. If he can bring the same shooting form into games, Green's excitement could prove to be justified.
