With the Golden State Warriors failing to acquire the talents of LeBron James after heavy links, the rumor is that Steph Curry is growing weary of the organization and its many attempts to sign stars. But Warriors center Draymond Green thinks otherwise.

As the much-awaited James and Curry link-up has now gone south, longtime insider Marcus Thompson II wrote a report suggesting that Curry is discontented with the Warriors' front office.

However, Green, who has been with Curry for over a decade, is not so sure about the claims, as he reacted to the news on the latest episode of the Draymond Green Show.

“I saw a lot of people like, ‘Steph is probably tired of star chasing.’ When I read this, I was like, ‘That’s interesting,” Green said. “Probably would mean maybe he is, maybe he isn’t, but you definitely can’t just cross the probably out and be like tired of star chasing, that doesn’t work.”

“You got to have to take the whole story, the whole sentence, the whole everything into context,” Green added.

What Draymond basically means is that if Curry truly had a problem within the franchise, he would not keep it bottled up. Curry has always been known to point out his issues to the Warriors, if not address them to the media.

“I don’t know what the hell Steph tired of, but I do believe that if Steph was tired of something, he would say that. I do believe that. I know you all think Steph doesn’t speak, I’m telling you, Steph live for tough conversations, Steph thrives in tough conversations,” Green continued.

Moreover, Curry's relationship with Warriors owner Joe Lacob and general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. has also remained strong over the years.

He has also expressed confidence in their leadership even after the franchise traded his fellow splash bro, Klay Thompson, and made major moves to acquire Jimmy Butler and Kristaps Porzingis.

Regardless, the Warriors now find themselves in a rough spot for next season after putting all their chips in the basket for King James, who is off to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Can the Warriors Still Compete Next Season?

While the acquisition of James would have worked wonders for the Warriors both on and off the court, they can still be labelled as dark horses going into the next season.

For starters, Curry remains one of the league's most lethal scorers with tons of experience, which will also come in handy. And with Green officially extending his contract, the on-court chemistry the duo has built over the many successful years together will once again be key.

Apart from the legends, Jimmy Butler and Kristaps Porzingis would need to step up big time and, more importantly, keep themselves healthy if the Warriors should have any hopes for a title charge.

They are still key pieces of any team when available, alongside their young core of Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody and the anticipated rookie Yaxel Lendeborg.

While losing James after so much time and effort was obviously a blow, the Curry-led Warriors have shown that they can go toe-to-toe against any team in the NBA when needed.
