LeBron James swinging his golf club on a yacht went viral on social media. While fans have been largely supportive of the NBA star's new hobby, the result of this swing has garnered mixed reactions.
The Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar was golfing off the coast of Italy. The video showed James practicing golf on a yacht and possibly hitting golf balls into the sea.
Dressed in a pair of black trousers and a white tee, James was taking swings with the Faraglioni di Capri in the backdrop while listening to Kendrick Lamar songs.
This is the time of year when LeBron James takes his time to recover mentally and physically from playing basketball. This time, golf has become a big part of his relaxation process.
James is currently an unrestricted free agent, and it is still not clear if he will return for his 24th season. In fact, Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus predicted that he may leave the Lakers to join Golden State.
However, the fans in the comment section of this video were busy scrutinizing James playing golf.
NBA fans react to LeBron James' golfing skills
Of the hundred comments on the post, most fans were upset with the Lakers star for hitting the golf ball into the ocean, and some were his big fans.
“Ay LeBron love you man but why you gotta litter like that?” one of the fans wrote.
LeBron is not the first player in the league to pick up golf. Michael Jordan and Stephen Curry are arguably the most famous golfers in the NBA. James picked up golf because he wanted a challenge. Yet for some fans, it was a pattern.
“NBA players always start golfing later on in their careers. What’s really up with that?” a fan wondered.
LeBron has picked up golfing very recently, and he is still improving. However, one fan couldn’t help but suggest some form corrections.
“Looks like Cabo. Needs to move those hips and get forward on that swing,” the fan wrote. However, some fans also defended James’ imperfections.
“Goodness me! You must be mad, expecting a basketball player to have the golfing skills of a professional golfer!” the fan wrote.
Drake recently d***** James in his new album, “Iceman.” Watching the Lakers star listening to Lamar, a fan anticipated another retaliation from the Canadian rapper.
“Drake gonna write a bar about this,” the fan wrote. So, how did you react to James' golf clip? Let us know in the comments.
