Luka Doncic has turned his rise into one of basketball's biggest stars into significant earning power, both on and off the court.
According to Forbes, Doncic earned an estimated net worth of $60.9 million, with his NBA salary and endorsement deals making up a large part of that total.
Doncic’s growing wealth is closely connected to his NBA contracts. Forbes reported that Doncic signed a five-year, $207 million supermax deal with the Dallas Mavericks in 2021.
He later moved to the Los Angeles Lakers after the Mavericks traded him in February 2025. In August 2025, Doncic signed a three-year, $165 million contract extension with the Lakers, as per Forbes. The deal also includes a player option for the 2028-29 season.

Doncic also makes a lot of money outside the basketball court. He has a major deal with Jordan Brand, which launched his own signature shoe line.
Forbes also lists Gatorade and Panini among the brands he has worked with. His strong basketball record also adds to his popularity. He has been selected to six NBA All-Star teams, earned six All-NBA First Team honors, and won two NBA scoring titles.
His NBA salary, brand deals, and worldwide popularity have made Luka Doncic one of the most valuable athletes in sports. His wealth does not come from just one contract.
His success has also given him the freedom to create memorable experiences away from the court, including one involving his Lakers teammates.
Luka Doncic’s growing influence off the court
As Doncic’s profile has grown, so has his influence away from the basketball court, with his latest plans showing just how much his success means beyond his earnings.
Fullcourtpass shared a post on X that cited ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne. The report said that Doncic is planning to charter a plane for his Lakers teammates.
He is also reportedly preparing gift bags and planning activities like fishing at Lake Bled, golfing, and other team activities during their time in Slovenia.
Doncic's earning power was built long before he entered the NBA. He joined Real Madrid's academy at 13, made his senior debut at 16, and became a EuroLeague MVP before entering the NBA as the No. 3 overall pick in 2018, according to Slam Online Magazine's article.
His rapid rise with the Dallas Mavericks and eventual move to the Lakers helped turn that early success into one of the league's most valuable basketball brands.
Doncic's reported $60.9 million in earnings reflects more than his NBA salary. His Lakers contract, endorsement partnerships, and global appeal have turned his success on the court into one of the biggest earning profiles in basketball.
