Coverage linking LeBron James to the Golden State Warriors is getting stronger every day. Former player Jeff Teague was hyped with the latest proposal from Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley that unites James with one of his All-Star teammates in the Bay Area.
The proposed trade moves LeBron to join Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. According to Buckley, the Warriors could trade for Anthony Davis, reuniting the former Los Angeles Lakers teammates. Nothing would make Teague happier.
“Because they're trying to push Bron out. I’ll be so hyped,” Teague said. “The NBA do that LeBron, Anthony Davis, Steph Curry, and Draymond…. LeBron got to go with AD. That’s the only way he’s going to stay healthy.”
The disconnect between James and the Lakers has been a big storyline this year. Rob Pelinka has said that he would want James to finish his career with the Lakers.
However, it was reported that James felt the Lakers took him "for granted".
On paper, LeBron/Curry/AD/Green would be the league's most decorated roster. But in reality, their combined age and injury history make sustained dominance unlikely.
However, if they qualify for the playoffs and remain healthy, their postseason experience alone would be a threat to any team in the league.
James and Curry, two of the greatest offensive juggernauts in NBA history, playing alongside Davis and Green, two of the greatest defenders in the league, qualify for a dream team.
However, not everyone is in favor of the Lakers star going to the Bay Area.
NBA Legend Urges LeBron James to Join His Former Team
With the NBA Finals coming to an end very soon, trade updates are going to take center stage. James’ trade ideas are receiving all sorts of input, and one of the latest is from NBA legend Charles Barkley.
During his appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, Barkley said that the four-time NBA champion should join his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“LeBron only has one play in my opinion, and that’s to go back to Cleveland,” Barkley told Mike Greenberg. “That’s his only smart, logical choice. Go back and finish his career with the Cavs.”
The Cavaliers have a big bunch of offensive and defensive stars. However, they have not been able to get over the hump in the Donovan Mitchell era. According to Barkley, James’ arrival in Cleveland could make the favorites in the Eastern Conference.
“It’s a perfect fix. They’ll probably be the favorites in the East or in that conversation,” Barkley added.
This is the most uncertain offseason that James has been part of. It is also the first time in his career that he is not holding all the power to manipulate the teams he would want to join.
Where do you think LeBron James is going to end up next season? Let’s know in the comments.
