Game 3 of the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. New York Knicks Eastern Conference Finals attracted a massive crowd. But the Rocket Arena also saw the noted pop icon, Taylor Swift, grace the game with NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce. So let's take a look at which side Swift and Kelce rooted for. 

Just minutes after the couple’s picture from the game went online, fans got curious about their allegiance. Most sports fans already know Kelce, who is Ohio-born, was there to support the Cavaliers. He and his brother, Jason Kelce, have been lifelong Cavaliers fans. However, it was Swift’s allegiance that the fans were most curious about, especially in light of her past.

To answer their doubts, Taylor Swift is a New York Knicks fan, and she has been attending Knicks games for years. According to Sports Illustrated, in 2014, Swift said that she was a Knicks fan because she enjoyed watching Amar’e Stoudemire and his wife, Alexis. 

The Blank Space singer said, “I’ve gone the last four years. And the most normal people at that event, every single time, are Amar’e Stoudemire and his wife Alexis,” she said. “I talk with them and hang with them every time I’m there. So I’ve always had this sort of love of the Knicks, just because Amar’e is so cool.”

But Swift didn’t suddenly grow into a Knicks fan. She has a childhood relationship with the team. She also revealed that she performed at Madison Square Garden's Kids Talent Competition, and even performed there as a kid. 

However, there is a real danger that the Knicks might lose a celebrity fan now. Swift is set to marry Travis Kelce next month. It is very much possible that her allegiance might change for love of her future husband.

When Travis Kelce arrived with his fiancée for the Cavaliers game, he wasn’t there to just clap for the Cavs. He has been a lifelong Cavs fan, and he took every step to electrify Cleveland fans in the arena to support their home team. 

But while Kelce’s rugged aura gave a new life to the Cavs fans, his fiancée hilariously sat embarrassed. In a video posted on X, Kelce chugged beer in one go to rally the Cavs fans in Rocket Arena, and Swift hid her face while laughing at the same time.

Kelce had brought Cleveland fans to their feet, and impressed with Kelce’s aura, Swift had no choice but to clap at what the NFL star had done to the Cavs fans. 

Unfortunately, the Cavaliers lost the game 121-108, going down 3-0 in the series. The Cavs will look to win Game 4 to extend the series for a chance to win it, but history stands tall against them. No team has ever come back from 0-3 in the playoffs.
