Jalen Brunson had a historic night on the court, but the real celebration happened miles away. A few Instagram stories captured a side of the playoffs we rarely see. 

Jalen's wife, Ali Brunson, took to Instagram after the game to share the joy. She posted a series of short stories to give followers a look into her family watch party, posting right after the Knicks booked their ticket to the 2nd round. 

The star of the night was their young daughter, Jordyn. She was standing right in front of the TV while holding her mother's skincare products. The New York Knicks took over Game 6 to beat the Atlanta Hawks with a 140-89 score. It was a historic 51-point blowout that gave the franchise its largest playoff win margin ever.

Brunson finished Game 6 with 17 points and 8 assists. He played around 29 minutes without committing a single turnover.  His total impact across the first round was huge for the franchise. He scored 158 total points to average 26.3 points per game against Atlanta. His 39-point performance in Game 5 was the turning point.

Ali has a history of sharing these supportive family moments during major career milestones. While his family enjoyed the victory at home, the man of the hour kept his mind stuck on the upcoming challenges.

Jalen Brunson stays locked in despite a dominant series win

Brunson spoke to the media right after the game and kept his message clear, and said that it feels good to celebrate, but the team cannot let the victory get to their heads.

He noted that it does not matter if they win by 1 point or 60 points. The goal is to wake up the next day and turn the focus to the second round.

New York will now carry that focus into the Eastern Conference Semifinals as the 3rd seed. They will face the winner of the series between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers.
