While it is natural for teams that have made deep playoff runs not to sign any player in free agency or trade, the same cannot be said for the Golden State Warriors, who did not even play in the postseason.

Yet the Warriors are the only team in the league to have not made a single move this summer, apart from drafting Yaxel Lendeborg 11th overall in the 2026 NBA Draft.

ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins thinks that’s a red flag that should make Steph Curry start packing his bags and think harder about his future.

“Steph needs to be planning his exit strategy from the Golden State Warriors,” said Perkins on ‘NBA Today’. “Think about it, over the last four years, the Warriors have been in the play-in tournament. And this year, the way that the West is stacked up, they’re gonna be a play-in tournament team again.”

Perkins is not wrong with his assessment. Curry will play his 17th season with the Warriors, and at 38 years old, he is still one of the best scorers in the league.

Curry has also shown the world how he can carry a team to a championship, just like he did in 2022. Apart from that, he was a major part of the Warriors dynasty that reached five NBA Finals in a row and won three of them.

But age catches up to all, and now is the time Curry needs help to make it deep into the playoffs in his and Draymond Green's quest to potentially win the fifth ring alongside head coach Steve Kerr.

But so far, the Warriors front office has failed him and has not done justice to Curry's final meaningful years after 2022, and there are rumors that Curry is not happy with the organization.

However, Green has since questioned and seemingly denied that claim.

Draymond Green Does Not Believe Curry is Frustrated with the Franchise]

The Warriors put all their eggs in one basket this summer, that being LeBron James. Once favorites to acquire King James' talents, things went south when Eastern Conference teams joined in for his signature.

James is now signed to the Philadelphia 76ers, with a real chance of winning his fifth ring surrounded by stars like Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe. James can end his career on a high note, something which is now a luxury for Curry.

As the much-awaited James and Curry link-up has now gone south, longtime insider Marcus Thompson II wrote a report suggesting that Curry is discontented with the Warriors' front office.

However, Green, who has been with Curry for over a decade, is not so sure about the claims, as he reacted to the news on the latest episode of the Draymond Green Show.

“I saw a lot of people like, ‘Steph is probably tired of star chasing.’ When I read this, I was like, ‘That’s interesting,” Green said.

 “Probably would mean maybe he is, maybe he isn’t, but you definitely can’t just cross the probably out and be like tired of star chasing, that doesn’t work.”

What Draymond basically means is that if Curry truly had a problem within the franchise, he would not keep it bottled up. Curry has always been known to point out his issues to the Warriors, if not address them to the media.

Moreover, Curry's relationship with Warriors owner Joe Lacob and general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. has also remained strong over the years, even during the times when they traded his fellow splash bro, Klay Thompson.

Regardless, the Warriors now find themselves in a rough spot for next season after putting all their chips in the basket for King James.
