Mayor Mamdani Poses With KAT's Fiancée Jordyn Woods' Viral Lucky Bag at Knicks NYC Parade

Kar-Anthony Towns' fiancée, Jordyn Woods, has become part of the Knicks lore thanks to her lucky orange bag. One of the lucky ones to have his hand on the bag was Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

On Friday, Woods posted a picture of the NYC mayor posing with the viral bag during the New York Knicks' championship parade. "WE OUTSIDEEE," Woods wrote in the caption.

Woods' orange Tux Clutch Mini bag quickly became a sensation after the Knicks won the NBA Finals, defeating the San Antonio Spurs in five games. Shortly after the win, Towns revealed that his fiancée's bag was "undefeated" in the postseason.

The second picture in the slide showed KAT holding the bag in one hand and the Bob Cousy Trophy in another. The parade area had a strict no-bag policy.

Yet, Woods' bag had the VIP pass. The viral orange bag is a part of the collection from Woods' own independent company, Woods by Jordyn.

The company sells fashion and accessory items. The moment with Mamdani provided free marketing for Woods, and it couldn't have gotten bigger in NYC.

How Jordyn Woods' bag became undefeated

Before Game 5 in San Antonio, Jordyn Woods revealed that her bag had been 14-0 in this postseason. If so, she has been bringing her orange bag to the Knicks game since Game 4 of the first round between the Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks.

Knicks were down 2-1 in the first-round series. They won the next three games when Woods kept bringing the same bag to the arena. Woods said that bringing her bag to the game had become her superstition.

The Knicks' first two games of the Finals against the Spurs were at Frost Bank Arena. They won both, and Jordyn was still holding to that bag. The Knicks lost Game 3, and Jordyn didn't have the bag with her.

With President Donald Trump attending the game, the Secret Service asked fans to keep personal belongings to a minimum. So, Woods couldn't bring the bag inside the arena.

However, she brought it again in Game 4, and the Knicks made the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history. They erased a 29-point deficit to win the game. Needless to say, she was at Frost Bank Arena with her bag when the Knicks became 2026 NBA champions.
