NBA Superstar Luka Doncic Makes Bold Admission About Caitlin Clark

Luka Doncic's postgame press conference took an unexpected turn on 26th March, 2026, after defeating the Pacers. The NBA superstar wasn't asked about the game but about a special guest photographer on the sidelines: WNBA star Caitlin Clark. His response revealed a deep admiration.
The Indiana Fever guard was sitting courtside, serving as a credentialed special guest photographer for the Pacers. When a reporter first asked about "the photographer," he seemed a bit confused before realizing they meant Clark.
Once he understood the question, Luka expressed his admiration. “Oh yeah, I did see her," he told reporters. "Not really much, but I’m a big fan for sure. I watch a lot of games. Definitely, her hooping is great to watch. So for sure, I’ve got to go to one game to see her.”
Clark is coming off a unique 2025 WNBA season. A right groin problem restricted her to just 13 regular-season games. She still posted strong numbers, averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game.
As of now, Clark has not directly replied to Luka Doncic's the praise.
A Mutual Admiration Between Both Players
Clark had actually praised Luka openly weeks before this latest exchange. During an appearance on NBC's “Sunday Night Basketball” pregame analyst on February 2, 2026, she was asked which NBA player she studies most.
She immediately pointed out Luka. “Luka is amazing, and he’s incredible," Clark stated. "I think the way he can not only score the ball, but also the way he passes… He’s not the fastest, he’s not the most athletic, but he can get his defender to move where he wants him to go, and he takes up that space.”
Clark explained how she wants to learn from his specific style of play. “I think that’s something I can certainly learn from," she added. "I always kind of want to run away from the defense rather than absorbing the contact and taking up the space that they give me.” She also praised how he very often produces 30-point triple-doubles.
LeBron James acknowledged Clark’s presence at the game, and Stephen Curry has also praised her in the past. We will all now be watching closely to see if Luka makes a courtside appearance at a WNBA game.
What do you think about the mutual respect between these players?
