"Spoiled child trapped in Alien body": Skip Bayless Rips Victor Wembanyama Ahead of Game 3 vs. Knicks

Skip Bayless has never been one to soften his opinions, and now that the San Antonio Spurs are trailing 2-0 in the Finals, the 22-year-old at the centre of it all has become his latest target.

In a post on X, Bayless criticised Victor Wembanyama sharply, stating, "What I'm seeing from Victor Wembanyama. If you want to boil him down to me, the more I watch him, he's coming more and more across as a spoiled child. That's what he is. He's a spoiled child sort of trapped in this alien body."

The criticism is based on actual numbers. Against New York, Wembanyama is shooting 40.5 percent from the field and 26.7 percent from three. He has made 10 turnovers in two games, including the late backbreaker that ended a fast break that could have won the game in Game 2's 105-104 defeat.

These mistakes are even more costly in the larger context. San Antonio squandered a 14-point second-half lead in Game 1, then fell short in another fourth-quarter comeback in Game 2, leaving them in a 2-0 hole and trying to do what no team has done in NBA Finals history.

Now the Spurs are faced with the prospect of becoming the first team to win a Finals series after losing the first two at home, with Game 3 in New York a must-win.

The stakes off the court are just as high as the intensity on it as Game 3 takes place at Madison Square Garden.

Game 3 Moves to MSG, and New York Is Going All In

With President Donald Trump attending Game 3, it's going to feel like we all just entered a secure fortress. Expect an airport security line with a full body scan and a no-bag policy that will make security at Madison Square Garden feel as if they're on full lockdown.

And that's not where all the celebrity presence ends. Joining Trump at the court side is Mayor Zohran Mamdani, with even more celebs like Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, and Spike Lee expected to appear throughout the venue.

However, the majority of fans watch from their couches. The price of scalped tickets was over $10,000, with some going as high as $100,000.

Trump was unflinching when asked about it Friday. "That's the way life goes," he told reporters. "Television's sort of semi-free to watch it."

New York needs two wins to win its first championship since 1973. Whether in the stands or on the couch, everyone is watching.

In Game 3, can the Spurs shut down MSG, or is New York gaining the upper hand? Let me know in the comments.
