Dylan Harper is making a statement both on and off the basketball court right now. His personal brand is expanding beyond the basketball court.
The San Antonio Spurs rookie showed off a new piece of jewelry. The pendant is an exact copy of his official Nike signature logo.
Harper first signed a deal with Nike back in 2024. He did this through an NIL deal while he was playing at Rutgers. He signed alongside his teammate Ace Bailey. His personal logo is officially called the "D-Harp."
The logo made its first big appearance during the 2025 NBA Summer League. It was featured on a player-exclusive Nike GT Cut sneaker.
Harper broke many records during his first playoff run. In Game 3, he became the first rookie in league history to post 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 threes off the bench in a playoff game.
He is also the youngest player since the 1970-71 season to get 25 points and 10 rebounds off the bench in the postseason.
He trails only Kobe Bryant as the second-youngest player to score 20 points off the bench in the playoffs. In Game 5, he became the first Spurs rookie since Kawhi Leonard in 2012 to get at least 15 points and 3 steals in a playoff game.
The logo has now transitioned into a high-end personal statement. Harper turning it into a diamond chain shows his rising status in the league. His postseason success has increased the value of his personal brand.
Spurs Rookie Harper Steps Up Big When San Antonio Needed Him Most
The Spurs just defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 4-1 in the first round. Harper played a crucial role in winning the series. He stepped up when Victor Wembanyama was off the floor.
Harper averaged 12.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists over the 5 games. He shot 56.1 % from the floor and 50% from three-point range.
Game 3 was his breakout moment. The Spurs were down by 15 points in the 3rd quarter. Harper came into the game and dropped a career-high 27 points. He scored 22 of those points in the second half alone. He also grabbed 10 rebounds for his first playoff double-double.
After that game, Harper said, "When I came into the game, my biggest focus was not to try to get it all at once," he explained. "Just try to be that energy guy that came in and played hard."
"Once I started doing that, I think the game kind of just opened up," he added. He also made sure to praise his teammate, Carter Bryant, for making clutch plays and being a great friend.
Harper helped close out the series in Game 5. He scored 17 points and grabbed 3 steals in that win. He was thrilled with the result.
The diamond chain is a symbol of a young player finding his place in the league. Drop your thoughts about his new custom chain and his recent playoff performance.
