Tom Brady Admits To Shaq He Never Felt ‘Chosen’ In 7-Word Confession

Tom Brady's most shocking revelation was unrelated to his 23 seasons, seven Super Bowl victories, or his NFL records.

During Shaq and Brady's Big Podcast, Shaq asked Brady if he sees himself as the GOAT in the mirror, and Brady's response was surprisingly open.

"Honestly? No. I never felt chosen." Tom Brady said his most revealing confession in just seven words. "I just never wasted a moment. Every practice, every film session, every offseason, I treated it like it was the last one I'd ever get."

That way of thinking dates back to Brady's beginnings. The New England Patriots selected him in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, 199th overall.

Brady's initial career was marked by skepticism carried over from draft night, and his significant chance only came when an injury sidelined another player.

In 2001, when QB Drew Bledsoe was out with an injury, New England's Tom Brady picked up the slack and led the Patriots to a Super Bowl victory over the heavily favored St. Louis Rams.

Observers were continually stunned by a streak that kicked off with that win. Brady's most significant accomplishment was leading the Patriots to a 28-3 third-quarter lead, which they managed to overcome in overtime to beat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, marking the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history.

Upon his NFL retirement, his regular-season passing yards (89,214) and touchdowns (649) remained unmatched by any other quarterback. He also won seven Super Bowls and was named Super Bowl MVP five times.

What Brady has accomplished since retiring from football is far greater than his championship run.

Tom Brady's Life After Football

His post-NFL life was just as disciplined as his NFL career. Brady and Kevin Burkhardt are FOX Sports' lead NFL color commentators; Brady earned a Sports Emmy nomination in his rookie season after signing a $375 million, 10-year deal with the network.

He is a 5% owner of the Las Vegas Raiders outside of broadcasting, as well as a stakeholder of the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces and the E1 electric powerboat series, and the chair of the Advisory Board at Birmingham City FC.

Besides the post-football empire that he built with the same dogged determination that characterised his playing career, his business portfolio includes Delta Air Lines, digital health platform eMed, artificial intelligence massage company Aescape, his apparel line BRADY, and consumer brands Good Nut and GOAT Gummies.

When compared to other quarterbacks, do you believe Tom Brady stood out the most because he refused to ever feel "chosen"? Let us know below.
