Watch: Bronny James Completes Reverse Layup After Assist From Father LeBron

LeBron and Bronny James just made NBA history. The duo became the first father-son pair to record an assist to each other in a playoff game during Friday's Game 3 win over the Houston Rockets. This was a change of pace for Bronny, who had remained scoreless in the first two games of the series.
Game 3 saw Bronny go perfect from the field and make two field goals. Incidentally, in both field goals the young Los Angeles Lakers star made, his father was directly involved in the play. Moreover, all of Bronny’s points came from two consecutive plays, making five straight points for the Purple & Gold.
With just under eight minutes remaining in the second period, Bronny was looking for a shot at the top of the key as LeBron was setting a screen for him. Once he was open, he drained a long 3-pointer, giving the Lakers a 10-point lead.
The Rockets missed the shot on their next possession, and LeBron grabbed an emphatic rebound. With the four-time champion scanning for a gap in the Rockets’ defense, Bronny sneaked ahead on a fast break. LeBron saw the opportunity and threw a lob pass to his son for a reverse layup.
Bronny finished the game with five points, shooting 100% from the field in nine minutes. He didn’t play in the second half as the Lakers took a 3-0 lead in the series against the Rockets.
LeBron James once again leads the Lakers for a 3-0 lead in an overtime thriller
After a 2-0 lead in the series, winning both home games, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Houston Rockets in Game 3 in an overtime thriller at Toyota Center. Once again, the 41-year-old LeBron James led his shorthanded team with a team-high 29 points, including a game-tying 3-pointer to send the game to overtime.
The Lakers took an early lead and ended the first half with an 11-point lead. However, the Rockets flipped the game in the next two periods. They outscored the Lakers 23-17 in the third quarter. In the last seconds, it seemed like the Rockets would get their first win.
With a 96-101 lead with 25 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter,
Marcus Smart cut the lead to 98-101. LeBron met Reed Sheppard in a full-court defense and deflected the ball off Sheppard’s hands. Smart got possession and threw the ball to James, who finally made a 3-pointer over two defenders to tie the game.
The Lakers redeemed themselves in the next five minutes and outscored Houston by 11-7, leading to a 112-108 win for Lebron's squad.
This loss severely hampers the Rockets ' chances of winning. But how do you think this series will end for the Rockets? Let us know in the comments.
