Watch Draymond Green Clap Back at Hawks Fans Heckling Him With Hilarious Taunt

Draymond Green had the perfect response for heckling Atlanta Hawks fans. Amidst a tough Warriors loss on March 21, Green used a silent, hilarious taunt to remind them of his championship pedigree. The taunt was a quick lesson in NBA history.
The incident took place when a Hawks’ fans section started chanting “Draymond s****!” The chant became louder in the 3rd quarter of the match when the momentum completely shifted in favor of the Hawks.
Draymond Green didn’t yell back or get angry. He simply came towards the Warriors’ bench, squinted his eyes, and looked up high into the fans' section. He was bluffing about searching for the Hawks’ championship banners. Fullcourtpass also posted the video of the incident on X.
This playful gesture hit hard because the Hawks didn’t win a single NBA championship in Atlanta. The franchise won its only title in 1958 when they were playing as the St. Louis Hawks.
On the other side, Draymond Green has won a total of 4 championships with the Warriors (2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022). His message was crisp and clear. You are chanting at me, but I am the one with the titles.
The game was a nightmare for the Warriors. The Hawks dominated the game and won it by 126-110. The Warriors struggled in the game from start to end and have a disappointing record of 33-37 this year.
He has a long history of such banter and trash talk. These moments are not accidental but a reminder to everyone of who Draymond Green is.
Green’s History of Clapping Back at Arrogant Fans
Green often turns negative crowd energy into memorable interactions. We witnessed a similar incident earlier this season. In Nov 2025, in a match against the New Orleans Pelicans, a fan kept saying to him, “Angel Reese.”
He directly confronted the fan and asked him to keep a fine line on personal remarks. A warning was also released to that fan.
Just a month ago, he had a funny banter with a Brooklyn fan. Green playfully said, “Mr. Whammy,” an 89-year-old fan who was booing from the front row, to kindly sit down during free throws.
He then also clarified that the exchange was sportive and not serious at all. The exchange showed he can engage in banter without being spiteful.
