Watch: Karl-Anthony Towns and Fiancee Jordyn Woods Share Postgame Embrace after Game 1 Win

When the final buzzer sounded at Madison Square Garden, Karl-Anthony Towns didn't just celebrate with his teammates. He found Jordyn Woods, and the moment cameras caught, said everything about what this run means beyond basketball.

Right after the Knicks' 115-104 overtime win over the Cavaliers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, espnW posted a video on Twitter capturing the couple sharing a warm embrace on the court, with the Madison Square Garden crowd still buzzing around them.

The victory was quite enough to celebrate. When New York overturned a 22-point fourth quarter deficit to rally through the stretch, it earned its way into a 1-0 home field advantage over Cleveland by posting a steady double-double night with 13 points (during 40 minutes) and 13 assists in Game 1, helping the Towns turn the score.

Woods appeared for the moment wearing it all in an NY Knicks style. She was wearing her No. 32 varsity bomber with Towns' famous number on the back, sitting on the court side in a custom blue and orange jacket, and a mini orange “Summer Citrus” clutch purse she designed herself with Woods.

But the love between the pair is much more than on-court fashion. Both parents passed away at a very young age, and they say that this common tragedy made them who they are today.

Towns pitched on Christmas Day 2025 with a vantage point on a rooftop with a view of the New York City (NYC) skyline.

The fact that he felt so connected with Towns and Woods made his postgame comments even more significant, and he did share the moment with everyone inside Madison Square Garden.

Karl-Anthony Towns Credits Knicks Fans

It wasn't as if Towns just patted Woods on the back after hearing the buzzer. He was sure to credit the 20,000 people who did not let the Knicks fall back down 22 points.

"Anyone who's been to the Garden can tell you, when the crowd is in the game, and you feel that energy, you feel unstoppable," Towns told SC with SVP.

"Our fans are the best fans in the world," Towns added.

New York trailed 93-71 with just over eight minutes left and proceeded to outscore Cleveland 44-11 down the stretch, completing only the second-largest playoff comeback in 30 years, behind the Clippers' 24-point rally against Memphis in 2012.

Towns had 40 minutes playing with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists. The crowd, however, did not just watch the comeback; they fueled it.

Did you expect the Knicks to come back from 22 down in Game 1? Comment down.
