Watch: LeBron James and Daughter Zhuri Go Viral in Adorable Courtside Moment

The hardwood seldom witnesses moments of tenderness. Put in LeBron James, and the odds of a soft moment are even more unlikely. However, in a rare instance, the court saw a heartwarming moment involving the King and his daughter, Zhuri James.
As LeBron James was going about his pre-game routine, Zhuri was seen standing courtside, carefully studying his moves before attempting to imitate them. A clip highlighting the moment was posted on the Los Angeles Lakers’ social media handles.
With a caption that read, “A special moment for LeBron and Zhuri,” the clip ends with the two sharing a hug.
Could this be a sign that we’ll see Zhuri following in LeBron James’ footsteps and venturing into the world of basketball? It would make sense in a familial way, as both her brothers, Bronny and Bryce, have pursued basketball.
But despite recently mirroring her father’s moves and the possibility of becoming the third sibling in basketball, Zhuri’s interests lie in a different sport altogether.
What Interests Zhuri James?
At this moment in her life, LeBron James’ youngest daughter is mostly focused on volleyball. The 11-year-old is said to have already made some developments in the sport after showing interest in it.
And while James has gone on record and acknowledged her natural flair for basketball, he attributed it to Zhuri having grown up in the NBA world rather than her being interested in it.
The Lakers star also joked about his wife, Savannah James, having a role to play in Zhuri choosing volleyball, saying, “She’s a volleyball player. Don’t get my wife mad. My wife is done with this basketball s—. She’s done with it.”
Having said that, only time will tell whether Zhuri James pivots to basketball.
And as for that clip? It’s nothing more than a wholesome father-daughter moment, at least for the moment.
Do you think Zhuri will follow in LeBron James’ footsteps and pick up the basketball? Let us know!
