As the Minnesota Timberwolves secured a first-round win over the Nuggets, a moment off the court captured the hearts of people. It was an incredibly wholesome scene as Julius Randle’s family cheered for him.
On May 1, the Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs Game 6 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. Randle's side defeated Denver 110-98 in the game to pick their fourth win of the seven-game series, ending the Nuggets' 2025-26 season. Even after injuries and pressure, Minnesota eliminated the Nuggets and advanced, establishing a remarkable moment in their postseason journey.
After cheering Julius along with their kids from the stands, his wife, Kendra, also took to Instagram and posted a story to celebrate the Timberwolves' victory. She also shared a celebratory message, reading, “Wolves in 6!”
With the key players fighting injuries and the Nuggets pushing to extend the series, only Julius can document how much his family's immense support meant. Kendra’s post helped show confidence and belief within the Timberwolves, even when the odds seemed uncertain.
The three-time All-Star is known for his play and leadership, which have been great at stabilizing the team. Facing a former champion team with a three-time MVP, Nikola Jokic, the Timberwolves proved that they could overcome intense pressure.
The “Wolves in 6” chanting of people also became a slogan. And in that celebration, Julius' family played its role, reminding fans that behind every playoff run is a support system.
The Timberwolves Defeated the Nuggets Despite the Absence of Key Players
The Minnesota Timberwolves gave one of the biggest performances of the 2026 NBA Playoffs, defeating the Denver Nuggets in a first-round series. The decisive moment came in Game 6, where the Timberwolves scored a 110-98 victory to clinch the series 4-2.
Despite the absence of Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo, Minnesota didn’t stop outplaying the Nuggets. Players like Jaden McDaniels and Terrence Shannon Jr. led the scoring and gave their best during crucial moments.
The team maintained intensity on both ends of the floor. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the Nuggets couldn’t keep up with the Timberwolves, even with Jokic’s leadership.
With the series win, Minnesota will now face the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Semifinals.
So, do you think that the Timberwolves will be able to defeat the Spurs as well?
